Monsters Are Sometimes Nice – Storybook & Interactive App

Created an imaginative storybook and interactive educational app that encourages children to explore creativity, challenge perceptions, and engage with art in a playful, hands-on way.

Goal: Design a storybook and companion app that inspires imagination, introduces children to art concepts, and allows them to create and share their own artwork.

Role: Creative Director, Writer, Illustrator & Designer

Solution: Developed the story and illustrations inspired by the Dada Art Movement, using collage techniques combining scanned vintage materials and digital elements.

Transformed the book into an interactive app, enabling children to read, design their own monsters, and share creations in an online gallery.

Focused on playful, surreal visuals that explore imagination and the subconscious mind, while remaining approachable and fun for children.

Result:
